KATIMAVIK

Katimavik  is a charitable organization that is youth-focused and service-focused.
They offer their annual National Experience, which is a chance for youth ages 17-25 to "spend 5 months in communities across Canada, volunteering, and learning as part of our fully-funded, immersive youth program." - Katimavik.org

Volunteers spend their time helping the communities, learning some French, learning about Truth & Reconciliation, and learning some job/career-related skills. Successful applicants are expected to fundraise $1000 prior to the start of their start date, but the organization will help them in those efforts. Beyond that, the 5 months are fully covered.
